About SS Cape May

The annual Singer-Songwriter of Cape May was discontinued in 2020 as we approached the 13th annual conference & showcase. Since 2008, the conference was based at Congress Hall’s Grand Ballroom and Harrison Conference Center and at it’s height the weekend showcases featured over 80 music industry professionals as speakers and over 130 acts and artists performing at 16 venues in historic downtown Cape May New, Jersey.  As announced in April 2024, SS Cape May is scheduled to return on March 28 & 29, 2025.

SS Cape May will return and feature two afternoons of music business panels, workshops, clinics and keynotes at the historic Congress Hall Hotel Grand Ballroom and Harrison Conference Center on March 28 & 29, 2025.  The daytime conference is open to the public however registration will be required.  All performing acts and artists will receive Artist’s Credentials to participate in the afternoon conference. SS Cape May will celebrate new music with performances after 7:00 PM at select local venues. Original acts and artists will have the opportunity to submit to perform from September 2 thru December 30, 2024.  Original music acoustic solo, duo, trios and full bands are encouraged to submit prior to the deadline. All showcase selections will be announced in after submission deadline has passed.  Cape May is the oldest seaside resort in the United States and stretches 20 miles into the Atlantic Ocean and below the Mason-Dixon line. Famous for its rich history of visitors and Victorian architecture, this National Historic Landmark City also hosts world-renowned jazz festivals. Once again, Cape May will come alive in the Spring of 2025 during the annual singer-songwriter weekend.
