About the Singer-Songwriter of Cape May ...
The 4th annual Singer-Songwriter of Cape May will be held March 25 & 26, 2011 at historic Congress Hall and select showcase venues in Cape May, New Jersey.
SS Cape May will feature two afternoons of music business keynotes, panels, songwriting workshops, musician clinics, mentoring & demo listening sessions, exhibits and performance critiques at the historic Congress Hall Hotel & the Harrison Conference Center. The music business conference is open to the public but requires registration.
SS Cape May celebrates new music and the participating acts and artists will shine with night time performances at select local venues. The participating venues in 2010 were: Aleathea’s Restaurant at the Inn of Cape May, C-View Inn, Cabana's On The Beach, Jackson Mountain Café, Lucky Bones Backwater Grille, The Mad Batter, Merion Inn, Victorian Garden at Marquis de Lafayette, Ugly Mug, The Pilot House, and Congress Hall's Brown Room, Boiler Room and Grand Ballroom. The local community is invited to share in the celebration of independent artists at the SS Cape May showcase venues. All showcase performances will be Free and Open to the Public.
Cape May is the oldest seaside resort in the United States and stretches 20 miles into the Atlantic Ocean and below the Mason-Dixon line. Famous for its rich history of visitors and Victorian architecture, this National Historic Landmark City also hosts world renowned jazz festivals. Cape May will come alive in the Spring of 2011 during the annual singer-songwriter weekend.
Showcase Submissions...
Over 130 acts and artists will be selected from showcase submissions to participate in SS Cape May 2010. Showcase performances will be held on Friday, March 25 and Saturday, March 26 at the venues. SS Cape May accepts electronic press kit submissions through our partners at Sonicbids.com, through the US Mail with a Showcase Application and by using any music and/or social networking site that you run with Acteva.com.
The fee to submit is still $20.00 and the Deadline is January 14, 2011. All selected artists receive laminated All Access Performer Credentials to attend the daytime music business conference events. Click Here to submit!

This event is designed for singer-songwriters of all genres and those interested in the music industry. The focus will be on emerging and established talent networking with music industry professionals and the community.
Music industry professionals attend SS Cape May as performers, speakers, mentors, and talent scouts. They share their experience and network with musicians, songwriters, students, and registrants during the afternoon educational seminars, mentoring sessions and hang out for the nightly showcases performances.
